The focus of our group is on the investigation of pollutant concentrations, their spatial distribution, and trends that result from abatement strategies or natural phenomena in conjunction with the mechanisms/processes controlling their levels and variability. Our research is geared towards the monitoring of gaseous and particulate pollutants, as well as the detection and measurement of chemical compounds that are harmful to the environment and public health. Maintenance and analysis of data series from national networks and modeling applications are also key objectives of the group.
