Born in Sparti, Greece, in 1979. Studied Chemistry at the Chemistry Department of the University of Crete and received her degree in 2001. Had her M.Sc. at the field of “Environmental Engineering” in 2003 at the same department on ‘Aerosol optical properties at the area of the Eastern Mediterranean and correlation with their chemical composition’. Commenced with her Ph.D. in the field of Atmospheric Chemistry studying the ‘Non Methane Hydrocarbons over the Eastern Mediterranean; Factors affecting their level and contribution to the oxidative capacity of the atmosphere’, obtaining her diploma in 2007. Conducted parallel aerosol research at the Environmental Chemical Processes Laboratory of the University of Crete and the Institute of Environmental Research and Sustainable Development (IERSD) of the National Observatory of Athens during the period 2007-2008. Employed at the National Observatory of Athens in 2009 as Associate Researcher. Technical Manager – Main Analyst of the Atmospheric Chemistry Laboratory. Member of the Penteli Aerosol Monitoring Station.
