Born in April 1986. He received the Diploma degree in Physics from the University of Athens, Athens, Greece, in 2012, and the M. Sc. degree in Environmental Physics from the same university. From October 2016, is a Ph.D. candidate at the Chemistry Department of the University of Crete, and his Ph.D. thesis deals with the formation of new particles in the Eastern Mediterranean and their effect on Cloud Condensation Nuclei (CCN) and Cloud Droplet Number (CDN). Panayiotis has been focused on the retrieval of aerosol size distributions, and chemical properties. He has 5 years of experience in environmental monitoring and research infrastructure operations and management, and from 2016 he is associate manager for the urban background ‘Thissio Aerosols Monitoring Station’ (Athens, Greece) in the National Observatory of Athens.
