Born in Athens, Greece, in 1979. Holds a Bachelor Degree in Floriculture and Landscape Architecture (Technological Educational Institute of Epirus, 2002), as well as in Biology (2007) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Doctorate in Biology (2014) in the Biology Department of the same University. Her Ph.D. Thesis was in the field of Landscape and Acoustic Ecology titled “Integrated Network of Biodiversity and Acoustic value”. A part of her thesis took place in the Built Environment Control Laboratory of the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design at the 2nd University of Naples under the Cooperation Of Science and Technology (COST) in 2013. Conducted parallel research within the activities of Ecology Laboratory of the dept. of Biology of Aristotle univ. Worked as Post-Doctoral fellow at the same dept. and univ. during 2014-2016 in the field of Biodiversity Conservation, Soundscape studies, Anthropogenic impacts on the natural environment and then collaborated with the Hellenic Centers of Biotopes and Wetlands of Goulandri Natural History Museum, (Action: "Satellite-based Wetland Observation Service"). She was a contract lecturer (2014-2018) for the undergraduate courses of "Chartography" and "Tools of Environmental Management" of Aristotle and Charokopio University, respectively, and for postgraduate courses of "Landscape, land use changes, climate change and bio-monitoring", "Contemporary theories and applications of Ecology", "Landscape" at the Biology Dept, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece). She has participated in 7 research projects, published 13 articles (9 as a first author) in peer reviewed journals, 39 articles in conference proceedings and 2 chapters in books. She has been awarded with the European Soundscape Award 2014 by the European Environment Agency in 2014.Until recently she worked as an Expert Advisor of the Alternate Minister of Environment & Energy specializing in Environmental Management & Biodiversity Conservation (2018-2019).
